THE Country Fire Authority has set up shop at Horsham Plaza to ignite people's interest in fire safety.
CFA representatives will man an information hub at the plaza today until Sunday, after starting their work yesterday.
The information hub features a multimedia display, the latest bushfire planning materials, advice on what to do if people see suspicious behaviour or arson activity and plenty of giveaways.
CFA Grampians region community education co-ordinator Chris Carey urged people to take the opportunity to chat with CFA staff about their fire plan for summer.
"Horsham Plaza attracts a lot of people from surrounding towns that are fire-prone areas such as Dimboola, Haven, Dooen, Natimuk, Warracknabeal, Edenhope and Apsley,'' he said.
"The shopping centre stand is a great opportunity to have a face-to-face conversation with a CFA member.''
The Horsham display is one of 15 shopping centre stands set up across Victoria between November 2011 and March 2012.
