Chooka performed at the two-day event on Saturday morning.
Treasurer Sandra Clutterbuck said Chooka was a highlight of the show, which ended yesterday.
"He was pretty good - very good, actually,'' she said. "We're going to try and get him back next year.
"He interacted with the crowd at all age levels. He talked and entertained.''
Mrs Clutterbuck said shearing was a popular event. She said 43 shearers entered the competition, the maximum number allowed.
"We also had an incredible number of horse entries,'' she said. "Over 150 visitors went through the horse gates.''
Mrs Clutterbuck said despite high horse entries, pavilion entries were down this year.
She said there were less flowers, crafts and cooking displays than previous years.
"It was disappointing. We really want to get that back up again,'' she said.
President Kelvin Lambert said despite wet weather on Saturday deterring a few people there was a good crowd with nearly 1000 attending.
Mr Lambert thanked the Mail-Times for its support. He said it was his final show as president.
"I hope the committee all the best for the future,'' he said.
