FRIENDS and family believe Horsham woman Sue Holmes will be forever remembered as a proud mother, a strong and determined woman and loving wife and friend.
Mrs Holmes, 52, died in a motorcycle crash near Broadford in central Victoria on Saturday.
She failed to negotiate a sharp left- hand bend, hit a guard rail and was thrown about 20 metres down a gully at Murchison's Spur.
Mrs Holmes was riding with a group on their way to Yackandandah.
A Winslow man, 54, travelling behind Mrs Holmes also came off his motorcycle and was taken to a Melbourne hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.
Mrs Holmes' husband Steve was also part of the motorcycle ride - in a group a few minutes in front of his wife.
She leaves behind her four sons Baden, Damien, Ben and Zach and their families, mother Jean Hood and siblings Janet, Ken and Max and their families.
Mrs Holmes worked as Green Taylor Partners' business manager for the past 12 months after working at Heinrich Ag Plus, later bought out by GrainCorp.
She lived on a farm at Nurrabiel for about 30 years before moving to Horsham about three and a half years ago.
Baden Holmes described his mother as a very strong and determined woman.
"She had a big impact on a lot of people she met," he said.
Mrs Holmes' greatest love was her family.
"Mum loved and was proud of her boys," he said.
"She would show them off at every opportunity."
Mr Holmes said his mother had participated in group motorcycling rides for more than 10 years.
She was also a member of Horsham East Rotary Club.
A memorial service for Mrs Holmes will be at St Andrew's Uniting Church, Horsham, at 3pm on Friday after a procession leaves the church at 1.30pm for Nurrabiel Cemetery.
