SIX Horsham men have been charged with murder after the death of a man in Horsham North.
A Horsham man, 25, was assaulted at about 10pm Friday before he died in Wimmera Base Hospital in the early hours of Saturday.
Shane Willshire, 24, Gavin Willshire, 27, Shane Campbell, 38, Matt Lovett, 21, Christian Pickering, 25, and Ryan Jones, 20, have each been charged with one count of murder.
The men, all from Horsham, faced an out of sessions hearing and were remanded in custody to appear in Nhill Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

FIV E men are in custody following the death of a Horsham man, 25, in the city's north overnight.
The Homicide Squad and Horsham police searched several Horsham homes for evidence in relation to the death on Saturday.
Police and paramedics were called to the intersection of Shirley Street and McMillan Court, Horsham North, at about 10pm Friday.
The man had suffered head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Wimmera Base hospital, where he died in the early hours of Saturday.
Police have not released the name of the dead man.
Homicide Squad Detective Inspector John Potter said the dead man was earlier caught drink-driving by Horsham police.
He allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of .113 at about 7pm Friday.
"He received a penalty notice and was released from the station,'' he said.
"After that he went to an address near Shirley Street, where an altercation with a man took place.''
Det Inspector Potter said another altercation, with a group of men who the victim knew, took place later on Friday night.
"It's not clear who has done what, but the man was seriously assaulted,'' he said.
"We'll know more about the cause of the death once the post mortem has been done.''
Det Inspector Potter told the Mail-Times that weapons could have been used in the assault.
"It's possible weapons were used but the nature is not known,'' he said.
Det Inspector Potter said some of the men in custody were known to police.
"Five men are in custody assisting us with enquiries,'' he said.
"We are still seeking the whereabouts of another man to help us with inquiries.
"We're also interviewing several witnesses.''

Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said paramedics were called to the scene at 10.01pm to treat an unconscious man, with serious head injuries.
Police have blocked off Shirley Street, while forensic officers search the scene this morning.
Homicide Squad detectives are at Horsham Police Station. The death is being treated as suspicious.
