Organiser Mark Busbridge said about 800 people had registered for the event but up to 1000 people joined in.
He said he was thrilled with the success of the event.
"It's really good, I wasn't expecting this many people,'' he said.
"There were many primary school-aged kids and families and a lot of toddlers.''
Mr Busbridge said there were many highlights to the day, including music, rides and crafts.
He said 'zorb balls' were popular, along with face-painting, train rides and dancing to music.
Mr Busbridge said he would talk with people to find out the viability of hosting another event.
"If the community wants something like this again, we'll definitely look into it,'' he said.
He thanked sponsors, volunteers and the Wimmera Mail-Times for its support.
"We've had more than 40 volunteers, helping with face-painting and the Salvos and crafts,'' he said.
"We thank all the Wimmera for its support and I thank my wife for putting up with me during it all.
"It's been enjoyable.''
