Blair is in the running for a US college basketball scholarship.

Blair, 17, is in talks with US colleges and will find out in May if he will move to the US later this year.

He represented Australia at senior international level last year and he went to Canberra on Tuesday last week for a training camp with the Australia under- 23 men's squad for the 2013 World Championships.

He said he would move to the US if an offer was made.

"It would be a great thing because I would be able to come home in the US off-season and still play for Dandenong Rangers in the National Wheelchair Basketball League," he said.

"I would be playing basketball all year and also studying compared to now where I don't do much over summer because it is off-season."

Blair travelled to Canberra with Horsham basketball export Mitch Creek, who was returning to the Australian Institute of Sport for an Australian under-19 team camp.

Blair said the pair also trained together in Canberra.

"Mitch's team was using the court across from us," Blair said.

"We trained from Tuesday to Thursday and did four sessions a day. The camp went well, it was good to be one of the older players for once."
