WIMMERA junior footballers have the opportunity to train under Geelong dual premiership captain Tom Harley next week.
Harley will lead a training session for Horsham District Football League junior players at Dock Lake Reserve on Wednesday.
Harley played 198 AFL games and captained Geelong to the 2007 and 2009 AFL premierships.
He is now a football commentator and general manager of AFL NSW/ACT.
Harley is visiting the Taylors Lake Football and Netball Club as part of Gavin Kelm's prize for winning the Swisse National Goal Kicking Award.
Kelm won the award for kicking the most goals of any Australian footballer during the 2011 home and away season with 153.
Taylors Lake football manager Brett Monaghan said Harley and Kelm would join forces to run a junior training session from 5pm.
Monaghan said the club had extended an open invitation to all Horsham District Football League junior players to attend.
"It's our award but we want to share it with the juniors from the other clubs too," he said.
At the completion of the junior session, Harley will lead a training session for Taylors Lake seniors and reserves footballers.
Monaghan said Harley would then have tea at the club and mingle with the crowd.
He said all were welcome for tea, which is available for a gold coin donation.
"It should be a big night for the club," he said.
"Everyone is still a buzz about Gavin's achievement. This is a great way to celebrate it."
Monaghan asked any junior footballers who planned to attend the training session to contact Brad Dwyer on 0409 826 972.
