THEY might be friends off the football field, but this won't matter when these juniors line-up in a trial under-12 competition in Horsham for the next three weeks.
Horsham West Primary School class-mates Bailey McQueen, Jay Hogan, Trent Woolman and Jordan Heard have been selected in opposing teams.
McQueen, 12, of Horsham United, will play for the Stingrays.
"It's going to be fun," he said.
"I wanted to play in this because I'm not ready for under-14s yet."
Hogan, 12, from Noradjuha-Quantong, will line up for the Kangaroos.
"It's going to be awesome," he said. "I do play under-14s but I don't get much game time."
Horsham junior Woolman, 12, is looking forward to playing for the Hawks.
"I don't usually get to play under-14s so this is a chance to play some extra games," he said.
His Horsham team-mate Heard will line up for the Bulls.
"It will be a bit of fun," Heard said.
