WIMMERA Hockey Association season kicks off with matches at Warracknabeal tomorrow.
Horsham Hockey Club spokeswoman Launa Schilling said the club was looking forward to the start of the season.
She said the club had a number of successful events in past weeks to attract new players to their club.
"Hockey Vic representatives visited some primary schools in our region, and also ran a training session with the Horsham Hockey Club," she said.
Schilling said an information stand at Horsham Plaza also helped to attract players.
"Horsham Hockey Club is continuing to promote hockey within the Horsham and surrounding area," she said.
"Hockey is a great family friendly and team sport for all ages.
"We are still seeking players for our minkey, junior and men's teams to build a stronger club."
Schilling said the club's minkey program, for players aged between six and 11, would start on May 10.
She said the club also invited interested players of all ages to come to the club's come and try day at Horsham Racecourse at 9.30am on Saturday, April 16.
She said anyone after more information could contact her on 0439 799 817.
