JESS Cannane and Candice Wilkinson have returned to Horsham Saints Netball Club as joint A Grade coaches for the 2012 Wimmera Netball Association season.
Cannane spent the past four seasons with Redan in Ballarat Netball Association and Wilkinson returns following a three-year stint with Pimpinio.
The Saints are coming off a wooden spoon season.
Cannane, 24, said she and Wilkinson were prepared for the challenge and were aiming for a finals berth.
"Candy and I played a lot of senior netball in Wimmera Netball Association," Cannane said.
"We'll bring leadership on the court as well as off the court.
"We've only ever played together, not coached. We had quite a good dynamic on the court."
Cannane said the Saints' major focus would be on development, both individually and as a team.
"The girls have a year of experience and are a year older," she said.
"We'll develop their netball brains and get them thinking about things rather than relying on skills.
"We're looking forward to the 2012 season and building on last year."
Horsham Saints netball secretary Tracey Taylor said she was thrilled to have Cannane and Wilkinson commit to the club.
Wilkinson's older sister Kristenn coached the Saints last season.
"We are pretty happy to have the two back at the club. Both are past A Grade players," Taylor said.
"They were keen to take on the role and put back in."
The Saints have appointed coaches for all grades bar C Grade and 15 and under B.
Courtney Clough will coach B Grade, Di Egan and Tanya McIntyre, 17 and under, Kris Grace, 15 and under A, and Sandra Gove and Cecilia Caris, 13 and under.
Horsham Saints netballers will start pre-season training on February 16 at Coughlin Park at 6pm. A barbecue tea will follow.
