Anson won the 2002 best and fairest in a thrilling count at Quantong on Saturday night. He beat fellow on-baller Corey Price by a single vote in a count which remained on the edge until the last vote of the night.
The results leaves Anson as the first player to win back-to-back best and fairest awards since the formation of Noradjuha-Quantong in 1997.
It is the second time Price has lost a senior best and fairest by a single vote. He was runner-up to Rod Hogan in 2000. Price won the best and fairest in 1998.
Members and supporters packed the Quantong clubrooms for joint football and netball club vote counts and presentation nights.
The turn-out also saluted goalie Michelle Christopher as A Grade best and fairest.
President Mark Hoffmann told the crowd the club expected to announce a replacement for retiring coach Rod Hogan within the next two weeks.
Hoffmann presented committee member Paul Christopher with a best clubman award. President Jenny Kirchner received a best clubwoman award from the netball club.
