IT IS unacceptable that members of our community are content to recklessly use their cars to damage neighbourhoods.

The page one story in today's Mail-Times about hoons terrorising residents in Horsham is appalling.
Questions have to be asked about why these people are able to get a car licence and then keep it despite such behaviour.
The kind of anti-social behaviour these hoons use is wrong and it is unacceptable for residents in our community to be scared to leave their homes.
There must be more police can do to detect these drivers and take away their cars and their licences?
Why can't we have unmarked cars doing extra patrols, how can people stupid enough to be entertained by second rate car stunts be able to outsmart our police?
No one doubts that police are putting in work to stop these hoons but the community demands these people be stopped.
Residents in the affected streets must also do their part to stop these disgraceful acts.
They need to have the strength to stand up to these hoons by reporting licence plate numbers and continuing to inform the police when these problems arise.
Bullies only understand action and grow more confident when people bow to them.
The brave residents who spoke out against these hoons have done a commendable thing in bringing this problem to light.
Let's hope their bravery is rewarded and these hoons are arrested soon and brought to justice.
