Toilets sorely missed

I am writing to echo the frustration and disappointment of Libby Peucker about the demolition of the toilets at Cherrypool.

I drive through Cherrypool very regularly. Over the years I have always noticed how many people stop and camp at this lovely spot beside the river and no wonder! It is a beautiful camp site and one of the few free camp sites in the region that has toilet facilities.

Since the toilets were condemned and later demolished, there has been a significant drop off in the number of campers, which is very sad to see.

It is also frustrating for the locals who have often stopped for a rest and a toilet break between Horsham and Cavendish. For the elderly, pregnant and the families with young children travelling along the Henty Highway, these toilets are sorely missed.

I call for those responsible for the Cherrypool camping area to rebuild the toilets for the locals and those travelling through alike.
