Felicity and Matt vote for each other

WHEN Horsham couple Felicity Hill and Matt Williams exchange wedding vows in September, their lives will change forever possibly in more ways than one.

The couple will share their September 14 wedding date with a federal election, announced last week by Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

Miss Hill said she was shocked by the coincidence after booking her wedding about a year in advance.

"I could not believe it out of all the dates Julia Gillard could have picked, she picked that one," she said.

"As long as Julia Gillard does not wear the same dress as me I think it will be fine.

"I would like to take this moment to thank the PM for providing me with a daily countdown until our wedding.

"This is quite uncanny because my girlfriend got married a couple of years ago and the election fell on her wedding day and now I am getting married and it is happening again."

Miss Hill, who is expecting her second child in three weeks, said she would encourage guests to vote early.

She said the election would add a unique element to her wedding, at Halls Gap Valley Inn and Lodges.

"I have already threatened to take the groom and bridal party down to the polling booths to have our photos done," she said.

"That did not seem to go down too well."
