A GLENROY man will face Ballarat Magistrates Court today after a high-speed police pursuit from Stawell on Saturday.
The man, 30, allegedly left a Horsham service station without paying for fuel.
Northern Grampians Highway Patrol Senior Constable Anthony Passalick said police tried to intercept the man's vehicle at Stawell at 9.30am.
He said the man allegedly sped up, heading east on the Western Highway.
He said police terminated the pursuit within minutes because of the driver's high speeds and dangerous actions.
Sen Const Passalick said the man was alleged to have reached speeds of up to 200 kilometres.
The vehicle was then sighted on the Sunraysia Highway, north of Waubra, a couple of hours later.
Stop sticks brought the car to rest and the man was arrested.
He was remanded in custody and charged with a range of traffic offences, including negligent driving while pursued by police, manner dangerous, speed dangerous, theft of a motor vehicle, theft of petrol and exceeding the speed limit.
