MINYIP teenager Megan Midgley has dyed her hair more than 60 times but she is now set to lose her blue locks.
Miss Midgley, 18, will raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation through the World's Greatest Shave when she shaves her head on March 14.
"I have been wanting to shave my head for a while, so I thought I might as well do it for a good cause," she said.
"My boyfriend and I were talking about it and we decided why not.
"I had a friend when I was younger who actually died of leukaemia so that is a bit of motivation as well."
Miss Midgley said she had placed fundraising tins at Horsham Plaza Lotto and Vibe Hair Studios, where she will have her head shaved.
"They asked for a goal when I signed up, so I said $250 but I would like to raise as much as I can," she said.
"I have just set up a bank account so that people can pay over the phone and online.
"I have friends in Melbourne, Ballarat and Naracoorte who would like to donate and who are asking their friends and work colleagues as well."
Her mother Margaret Midgley said she was proud of her daughter's fundraising efforts.
"This gives her a goal to aim for and I hope it will help people," she said.
"It will be interesting to see what she looks like with no hair."
Miss Midgley said people could call 0478023757 for more information or to donate.
