The health service has been working with students in grades three to six since April to improve awareness of dental health.
About 40 students had their first dental appointments in May, an initiative which the school's acting principal Donna Ludvigsen said had led to numerous follow-up appointments.
She said project officer Katherine Cooper arranged for each student to be picked up and taken to the East Grampians Health Service dental clinic for their initial check-ups.
The school is now planning six-month check-ups.
Ms Ludvigsen said the program fitted in well with the school's existing healthy food, gardening and cooking curriculum, stemming from Stephanie Alexander's Kitchen Garden program.
She said East Grampians Health Service staff had taken an active interest in the school's activities and were at hand to help with handing out lunches and helping with initiatives such as last week's walkathon.
"It's an absolutely brilliant program," Ms Ludvigsen said.
"What I love about it is that it's developed into quite an organic partnership."
