BUSINESS Horsham wants Wimmera residents to discover how gratitude can change their lives.
Founder and presenter of the 30-Day Gratitude Challenge Toni Powell will present Business Horsham's major training event for 2013 next Monday.
Mrs Powell said gratitude had the extraordinary power to change just about every aspect of life in surprising ways.
"When gratitude is practised in the workplace relationships are transformed, complaint is minimised and satisfaction levels skyrocket," she said.
"This effect is profound and long lasting."
She said the 30-Day Gratitude Challenge was a powerful program that turned people's view of the world upside down and, in the process, built more creative, healthy and proactive workplaces.
"It often seems to me that when people think about gratitude, especially at work, they are thinking of a reward program or maybe something 'soft' and touchy feely," she said.
"This is a program that surprises the toughest miners and the most successful chief executives. It is practical and the results can be seen on the bottom line, the workplace culture and the home.
"If you are after change in your life, your business, your marriage, and your relationships then make the 30-Day Gratitude Challenge a priority. I promise you will be delighted you came along."
Mrs Powell said she was impressed by Business Horsham's foresight and innovation.
"It is on the cutting edge of what is happening in training worldwide," she said.
"The science around gratitude is convincing and the practice is life changing, yet this is a new area which the corporates are just discovering.
"I usually deliver this program to the biggest companies in Australia so it is exciting for me to be able to share with a group of different local businesses at once.
"To have gratitude training offered to multiple businesses as well as to the town as a whole is a brilliant idea the impact for Horsham could be profound. I look forward to visiting such an innovative town."
Business Horsham executive administrator Wendy Mitchell said the 30-Day Gratitude Challenge offered improved staff relationships and a happier, more productive workplace and lifestyle.
She said there would be two seminars.
The two-hour seminar was $10 and the half-day workshop was $44 for members and $66 for non-members.
She said people could call 0418 266 310 or email email@example.com to book.
