PUBLIC Transport Victoria has guaranteed a Kaniva College bus route it planned to axe will run until the end of the year.
Fourteen college students and one kindergarten child could be left without a bus or forced to move schools if the transport authority cans the Lemon Springs route.
Public Transport Victoria found in June that the fourteen students were ineligible for Kaniva College’s bus route because they lived closer to Goroke P-12 College.
It planned to run the last bus along the Lemon Springs route on September 20 – the final day of term three.
Kaniva College acting principal Ashley Munn said the transport authority had assured him that the Lemon Springs bus would run until the end of the year.
He said the college would receive a final report this week.
