THE Specsavers Central Wimmera Tennis Association has put out a call to all junior Wimmera players to sign up for next season.
Training for the six junior clubs will start from early next month to early October.
Association secretary Janelle Knight said now was the time for players to register.
"We're hoping to attract children who maybe haven't thought of playing tennis yet or want to get involved," she said.
"We want to make sure people are thinking about it early and are able to contact the clubs."
Natimuk will be the first club to start training, from September 4 at Natimuk Showground. Haven and Central Park will also start junior training in September, while Horsham Lawn, Quantong and Laharum will begin in early October.
The Specsavers Central Wimmera Tennis Association season starts in mid-October.
Knight urged returning juniors to get in contact with their clubs to register. She said new players could contact clubs directly to find a team.
The association also announced new junior achievement awards sponsored by McDonalds.
Sisters Jess and Steffi McDonald were the inaugural winners of the award, which will see 40 McDonalds vouchers handed out through the year.
The sisters won the awards for their outstanding play at winter tennis tournaments in Melbourne and Bendigo.
