Horsham RSL Digger Damian Cameron has won this year's Wimmera Mail-Times, Harvey World Travel champion footballer competition.
The first-year Digger has won a holiday to Queensland after topping Wimmera Football League voting by six votes.
Warrack Eagles key forward Peter Weir finished runner-up on 100 votes after both players polled seven votes in the final home and away round.
Cameron polled votes in 15 of a possible 16 matches this season, capping off a stellar debut Wimmera league season.
Western Vic Football manager Stephen McQueen said there had been an error in Cameron's votes earlier in the season where his brother Jason was given seven votes.
He said all errors had now been fixed.
"The clubs lodge their votes on a Saturday night and post their votes into the Western Vic Football office, which we can't check off until Wednesday," Mr McQueen said.
"There was an error picked up late last week where a host club incorrectly lodged votes to Jason Cameron rather than to Damian."
Stawell co-captain Tom Eckel finished third on 83 votes, while Horsham assistant coach Nick Pekin, 74 votes, and Nhill hard-nut Mathew Jones, 69 votes, rounded out the top five.
Diggers utility Kye Chapple was the only maximum vote-getter of the round, scoring nine votes in his side's 168-point loss to Horsham.
Nhill big man Will Oakley was another star performer, polling eight votes in the Tigers' shock four-point victory over Minyip-Murtoa.
