QUANTONG-BASED artist Anthony Pelchen’s newest exhibition will open in Horsham Regional Art Gallery tonight.
‘Kuang Road Prayer’ is Pelchen’s second solo exhibition.
Pelchen’s art has taken him along the banks of the Wimmera River to the rural fringe of Kuala Lumpur.
In 2010 on an Asialink artist residency at Rimbun Dahan, Malaysia, Pelchen witnessed life in the balance and produced the foundation of the body of work Kuang Road Prayer.
The opening at 6pm will include an address from director of Rimbun Dahan, Angela Hijjas.
The exhibition will continue until October 13.
The gallery will also offer an opportunity for people to meet Asialink’s residency program manager Eliza Roberts tomorrow at 10.30am.
