WESTVIC Academy of Sport hosted it first tennis clinic in Horsham on Sunday.
Eight budding tennis players from Horsham, Bacchus Marsh and Maryborough attended the clinic run by Tennis Victoria state coach Mischa Fisher.
Horsham’s Steffi and Jess McDonald and Ethan McRae, who are part of the academy, all took part.
Fisher, who hails from Germany, has been running some of the academy’s clinics for nearly a year.
Westvic Academy of Sport executive officer Rob Ward said it was a good turn out, with all attendees giving it their all.
“They’re good kids, they work really hard and we can’t ask more of them,” he said.
“They’re quality players and we hope our program will further their development.”
Ward said it had been a positive program which had been well received by tennis coaches.
The academy’s final clinic is in Ballarat on November 24.
It will include trials and selection for next year.
