PAMPHLETS promoting Horsham College will arrive in Horsham and district mailboxes this week.
The pamphlets advertise the college as a diverse and community-focused school under the tagline 'leading through learning'.
It follows pamphlets from the college's school council last week that urged the State Government to rebuild the college.
Principal Frank Spiel said he feared campaigns for better buildings could distract from the college's education focus.
"Even though the buildings are old, we have a good education program," he said.
"We will get judged on our appearance and what we do. Even though our buildings aren't the best, people will always see that the college is neat.
"Because people hear about the push for better facilities, they might miss what the college is about.
"This is a deliberate attempt to get out to the community that we are still focused on what we do here."
School captain Matt Bray said students were proud of their school.
He said the student representative council was organising a student-led redevelopment of the former library site.
"The purpose of that is to spread the message that students can work with the teachers to generate an area for themselves," he said.
"It will create ownership in the school because the students can think 'we made this' and can be proud of it.
"There is a positive atmosphere around the school because there is a link between the students and the teachers."
