BUDDING Horsham sportsman Zac Dunlop had a week to remember last week after collecting a swag of trophies.
Dunlop, 13, is a keen soccer and badminton player and finished the season off in both sports with a bang.
The St Brigid’s College student claimed three badminton awards including a Horsham Junior Badminton Association Section A premiership with team Topaz, senior B Grade premiership with Goannas and Best Overall Individual Performance for most games won in any grade.
But he was also a star on the soccer field during the 2013 Horsham and District Soccer Association season.
Dunlop took out the leading goal-scorer award with more than 60 goals for the season with his under-16s side Brumbies Bakers.
The Bakers came from last place to win the under-16 title with a 5-3 win over Macchia Magic – a game where Dunlop scored a hat-trick.
He spends six days a week playing, training or umpiring sports.
Monday night is badminton night, while Wednesday and Friday is consumed with soccer training.
He also has umpiring training for Horsham District Football League on Thursdays in winter and he umpires on Saturday.
Sunday is domestic soccer day.
