HORSHAM and District Orchid Society will host its annual spring show in Horsham College hall at the weekend.
Hundreds of native Australian and international species of orchids will be displayed in the society's second show of the year.
Organisers expect between 300 and 400 people to see the two-day event.
Members of the NSW Regional Orchid Judging Panel will attend the show, presenting specific awards to growers and choosing an overall champion and a reserve champion.
The Helen Handbury Memorial Award will go to the most artistic display in the competition. Show visitors will choose the award winner.
"The show is great at bringing people from outlying areas into Horsham; it's good for the town," orchid society member Leanne McKenzie said.
The show will run from 9am to 5pm tomorrow and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Society members will provide orchids for a sales table and will be present throughout the day to answer questions and give advice on the cultivation of orchids.
A spokesman said Horsham and District Orchid Society welcomed new club members and met on the third Friday of each month at the Wimmera Base Hospital Day Centre.
