A HORSHAM man who has been wanted by police for two years will face the city's magistrate's court on Tuesday morning.
Horsham Sergeant Bill Alford said there had been six outstanding warrants for the man's arrest.
He said they originated from a string of incidents the man, 35, had failed to appear at court for since 2011.
Sgt Alford said the charges included theft, assaults, breaching an intervention order and driving while disqualified.
"It finally caught up with him," he said.
"We found him in the street yesterday."
Sgt Alford said the man was waiting at a bus stop near Firebrace Street when a police van drove past.
"There was a minor altercation in the street, which my van saw as they were driving past," he said.
"They stopped to say hello, and this was the result."
Sgt Alford said the bus would have taken the man towards Melbourne.
Instead, the man was remanded in custody.
Sgt Alford said it was a pleasing result.
