A HORSHAM pensioner couple has found the richer side of life after winning a TattsLotto prize worth $224,813.84.
The couple bought the winning System 8 entry from Horsham Newsagency in Firebrace Street.
The husband shared his excitement with his wife after reading the winning TattsLotto results in the paper.
"I yelled out to my wife outside, ‘I think I’ve bloody won TattsLotto!''' he said.
"I haven’t had barely any sleep since.''
The man said he and his wife planned to do home renovations with the money.
"We’ll spruce up the kitchen a bit and look at how we can invest some of the money,'' he said.
"Our son’s also getting married soon so we’re glad we’ll be able to help with that.''
The couple won a division one prize of $217,870.64 along with other divisional prizes for a total of $224,813.84.
Throughout Australia, there were 19 entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $217,870.64.
Along with seven winning tickets bought in Victoria, five winning entries were sold in Western Australia, four were sold in South Australia, two were in Queensland and one was bought in New South Wales.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3361 on October 5 were 27, 11, 8, 31, 21 and 6 with the supplementary numbers of 19 and 30.
