A HORSHAM jeweller is raising money for Wimmera women with breast cancer.
Mackay’s Leading Edge Jewellers will raffle off a pink diamond ring and earrings, worth $4690, to raise money for Horsham breast cancer support group, Friends Abreast.
Owner Fiona Mackay said she was proud to be able to donate rare pink diamonds for such a worthy cause.
“We wanted to support the Horsham Friends Abreast group because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” she said.
“We think it’s important to raise money for the community.”
Horsham Friends Abreast supports women with breast cancer and breast cancer survivors.
First prize in the raffle is an Australian pink Argyle diamond ring and earrings.
Second prize is a Thomas Sabo rose golf arabesque heart locket worth $429.
Third prize is a Swarovski rose gold tactic stud earring set worth $120.
Ms Mackay said tickets were $2 each.
Horsham Friends Abreast will host an ABC Day at Horsham Sports and Community Centre on October 28.
The raffle will be drawn at the event.
Friends Abreast member Marcia Carrick said the small group was for people affected by breast cancer.
“We meet at Ss Michael and John’s Church meeting room on the first Friday of every month, for a finger food lunch at 11.30am,” she said.
She said anyone wanting to join the group could call her on 5382 4630.
