GWMWATER has called for public submissions on the current and future operation of the Grampians reservoirs system.
A review of the Wimmera Glenelg bulk and environmental entitlements is under way, which looks at ways to improve operations for consumptive, water quality, environmental and recreational purposes.
GWMWater managing director Mark Williams said the authority had learnt a lot since the Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline was completed and from drought and floods.
“We are also taking the opportunity to review the outcomes of the ‘Future Use of Reservoirs’ project which we committed to in 2008,” he said.
Mr Williams said public submissions on the bulk entitlements review would close on November 1.
“Once all submissions have been reviewed we will undertake a second round of engagement on the recommended changes to the bulk entitlements,” he said.
Mr Williams said fact sheets about the review were available at www.gwmwater.org.au or by calling 1300 659 961.
