POWER has returned to Dimboola homes.
More than 1200 customers were without power after a power pole caught fire.
Powercor spokesman Drew Douglas said 1222 customers were caught out as a cross-arm of the pole at the corner of Victoria and Lochiel Streets burned.
The power supplier was alerted at 12.32pm.
Mr Douglas believed a power surge was to blame.
Many properties had their power restored about 1pm.
More than 120 homes had power restored about 3pm.
Mr Douglas said electrical contractors checked premises to make sure they were safe before switching the power back on.
