The incident occurred about 10.30am, just outside Rupanyup.
Murtoa Senior Constable Kerryn Blair said the man, 36, was driving his sedan along Stawell-Warracknabeal Road near Ashens-Jackson Road, when he moved onto bitumen on the left to give way to coming trucks.
"As he hit the bitumen, he lost control and slid sideways, across to the other side of the road," she said.
The car clipped a tree and flipped, hitting a second tree as it went.
"He walked out without a scratch," Sen Const Blair said.
Paramedics were not called but a tow-truck had to clear the smashed-up car.
She asked any witnesses who stopped to check the man was okay to call Murtoa police on 5385 2252
