Santa Claus joined about 35 other people, including Horsham College’s ConnectEd students, at Horsham’s Salvation Army Hall on Monday for Christmas dinner.
The program is a joint initiative between the school, Wimmera Uniting Care, the Salvation Army and Wimmera School Focused Youth Service.
It aims to provide a free meal for young people throughout the school year.
Co-ordinator and St Brigid’s College teacher Lesley Lannen said the number of people visiting had grown since the program’s launch in April.
She said up to 25 people were having lunch every week.
Mrs Lannen said the program would be back next year, starting again in February.
She asked any potential sponsors to step forward.
“It’s been fantastic for the young people involved and the young people from St Brigid’s College,’’ she said.
