The Saints have deftly navigated their way through the opening portion of the season and sit two games ahead of the Parkers.
With only six games left in the season, they are in a good position to take out the minor premiership.
The Saints defeated Central Park 9-109 to 5-88 with a strong effort from their women.
Number-one woman Kassie Peachey had a close tussle with Parker Sophie De Wit, eventually coming out on top 9-7.
Naomi McConville was involved in the two biggest rubber wins of the day for St Michael's.
She teamed with Angela Nitschke to defeat Central Park's Kayla Hawker and Amy Harrison 9-1 and then combined with Di Hayes to take down Harrison and Kate Rogers 9-1.
Results were mixed in the men's half of the draw, with top Saint Ian Nitschke narrowly defeating Kye Chapple in the number-one singles rubber.
Chapple got his revenge when he teamed with Wayne Schmidt to beat Nitschke and Dalton Burns 9-3.
Brendan Nitschke and Schmidt also had a good 9-7 win over Burns and Peter Hayes.
Central Park is still in second place despite the loss, but Drung South is now just four points behind the Parkers thanks to a huge 10-115 to 4-29 win over Kalkee.
Drung South got off to a hot start with wins in three of the first four doubles rubbers.
Adam Troeth and Andrew King defeated Kalkee's Jeff Friberg and Jesse Kuchel 9-5, and Rachel McRae and Kate-Lyn Perkin beat Anna Lehmann and Carmen Petering by the same scoreline.
Friberg turned things around for the Kees with a 9-3 win over Troeth in the singles and Lachie Exell downed Richard Goudie to bring Kalkee even on sets.
Singles wins to Drung South's Janelle Knight and McRae started a string of five consecutive rubber wins for the team and effectively ended the contest.
Kalkee maintained its grip on fourth place thanks to a surprise loss for Horsham Lawn Massey, who was defeated by rival Horsham Lawn O'Connor.
It was just the second win of the season for O'Connor, which won 8-89 to 6-38.
Top O'Connor women Paige Lloyd and Rachel Ivess were catalysts for the upset win, taking their singles rubbers against Massey's Grace Curran and Sally McKenzie 9-1.
The loss put a serious dent in Massey's finals hopes, as the team still trails Kalkee by four points on the ladder.
In A Special, there were wins to Horsham Lawn over Central Park Red, Brimpaen over Central Park Blue and Drung South over St Michael's.
Central Park won a hard-fought match against Haven seven sets to five in A Grade, and Drung South did it easily over Noradjuha while Kalkee won by forfeit against Horsham Lawn.
In B Special, Homers had an easy win against St Michael's.
Other winners were Brimpaen over Haven and Laharum over Natimuk.
B Grade saw wins to Drung South-Horsham Lutheran, Horsham Lawn, Haven Black and Laharum Red.
