We're well and truly back in the 40s, with 4pm bringing today's hottest temperature so far - 41.6 degrees. At 3.30pm it was 40.2 degrees, while 3pm was 41.1 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting isolated showers and thunderstorms for later this afternoon and evening.

The weather has begun to cool - just - with a temperature of 39.8 degrees. It's still hot out there though!

WIMMERA residents are trying to keep cool as temperatures climb towards the low 40s.
At noon Horsham's temperature hit 38.8 degrees, while Edenhope was at 38.3, Nhill 38.4 and Stawell 36.5.
Horsham is expected to reach at top of 42 degrees.
Bureau of Meteorology weather services assistant director Alasdair Hainsworth said this was the first heatwave of the summer.
"It's important to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to heat," he said.
Thursday has also been declared a total fire ban day for the Wimmera.
The Country Fire Authority advises that people monitor the weather at bom.gov.au or through emergency broadcasters.
The authority encouraged people to call Triple 0 if they saw flames and to check their bushfire survival plan now.
