HORSHAM Rural City Council’s Australia Day celebrations will kick off at Horsham’s Sawyer Park soundshell.

There will be a free barbecue from 7.15am, followed by the official ceremony at 8am, which will include a reflection by Horsham Christian Ministers Association Major Carolyn Wright, a welcome to country by a Barengi Gadjin Land Council representative and Australia Day awards.
Horsham Pipe Band, Horsham Brass Band, Sing Australia Choir and Horsham School of Dance will provide musical entertainment and there will also be a jumping castle.
Horsham College student Brittany Bates will sing the national anthem while racing industry identity Tony Cavanagh will give the Australia Day address.
Celebrations in the Brimpaen Hall will follow from 8am, with guest speaker Eh Htee Kaw and a flag-raising ceremony.
The Natimuk celebrations will start at noon in front of the council office while the Dadswells Bridge celebrations will start at noon at the town’s hall.
The guest speaker will be Dave Tyson and there will also be a flag-raising ceremony followed by lunch.
