Noah Campbell and Olivia Revell are the new captains, with Mackenzie Ryen and Lachlan Geary taking up the vice-captain roles.
Principal Paul Holmes said the students' peers had voted on the appointments with staff approving the final decision late last year.
"They're great kids," he said.
"They've proven over the last year or two that they've continued to set a good example and do the right thing; we're very confident we've made good choices again.
Mr Holmes said the school's leaders had hit the ground running this year.
He said he considered all senior students to be leaders.
"We do look upon all our grade six students as leaders, they've got new tops to make themselves known as leaders, and they're setting the right example for the new preps and all other students," he said.
House captains have also been named for the school's three houses.
Representing Watson will be Elisha Barry, Emily Gartlan and Athanasios Kardogeros.
Hinchley's captains are Olivia Revell, Che Pyers and Corey Goss.
McCann's new leaders are Mackenzie Ryen, Stephanie Glover and Thomas O'Dwyer.
The houses are named after former AFL footballer Tim Watson, 1960 Stawell Gift winner Bill McCann and Dr Alister Hinchley, who worked in the area for half a century.
