The 23rd annual event will start at noon tomorrow and will continue until 5.30pm on Sunday.
One of the highlights will be Australian country music star Adam Brand.
Event president John Naylor said he hoped Brand would pull a big crowd.
"We are hoping for about 1000 people, but it will depend on the weather," he said.
"The lake is full this year which is great and a lot of campers have already arrived."
Mr Naylor said other standout acts would include Jayne Denham, Amber Joy Poulton, Graeme Hugo, Lauren Downing and Peter Coad and the Coad Sisters.
He said the marathon had been running for more than 20 years.
"We will continue on traditionally this year like we always have," he said.
"People like the relaxed, family atmosphere."
Mr Naylor encouraged people to support the event and enjoy themselves.
"It is a good, fun weekend," he said.
He said proceeds for the event would be donated to Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital.
Tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for students.
Mr Naylor said camping was available and anyone wishing to book a spot could call Roy and Betty Pretlove on 0402 738 515.
Edenhope Sergeant Dale McIvor urged people at the marathon to party responsibly.
"We'll be out and about making sure it's an enjoyable night for all," he said.
