Horsham YMCA Community Advisory Group chairman Mark Radford said children aged four to 14 years enjoyed the party and about 60 supervising parents also attended.
"We were really happy with the turnout, because it was a bit of an experiment," he said.
"This is the first time we've ever had a winter pool party and the first time we've ever hosted a pool party on a Sunday.
"The children had a great time and many of them came dressed in their footy gear as part of the themed event."
Mr Radford said children under eight years had fun with a blow-up inflatable dragon slide, while the older children made use of a zorb ball.
The centre borrowed the zorb ball from Ballarat for the day.
"The event was good family time for a lot of Wimmera families," Mr Radford said.
"It was really encouraging for us to have a lot of parents come up and say 'thank you' so it is likely we will run something like this again during winter."
