Leading Sen Const Anderson appeared in Horsham Magistrate's Court on Thursday after being charged with two counts of unlawful assault in November.
The charges followed an investigation into an alleged assault in Warracknabeal on March 14 last year.
A police informant alleged Leading Sen Const Anderson slapped a 20-year-old man during the execution of a warrant, before turning to a girl, 17, and telling her she would be next.
The allegations were not proven.
Leading Sen Const Anderson pleaded not guilty.
He has been suspended with pay since November.
Police said internal investigations were still continuing and Leading Sen Const Anderson would not return to duty until the investigations were completed.
