Co-organiser Kelsey Hamilton said she was delighted the festival raised more than $3000 for the Pimpinio Football and Netball Club.
“It was a really great day, it took a lot of organising and we learnt a lot,” she said.
“We had a good turnout of 150 people there for our first event. We were quite happy with that.”
Ms Hamilton said it was encouraging to see people from other sporting clubs and areas supporting the event.
“We had heaps of support from other club members, the community at Pimpinio and all the members,” she said.
“We also had heaps of support from people outside Pimpinio.”
The price of admission included drinks, a spit roast dinner and live entertainment from local acts.
“We had I Need A Crown perform first,’’ Ms Hamilton said.
“They really set the mood, then Blockie and Bull – I think the mixture of crowd really enjoyed their performance, and then we had Billy Bennett DJ-ing which got us ready to go out later in the night.’’
She said she and fellow organiser Leah Dumesny hoped to stage a similar event next year.
