Hope is the reason the community raised and donated more than $150,000.
And hope is the reason many cancer survivors are still here today.
The Horsham and District Relay for Life is all about hope.
We hope one day we can live in a world without cancer.
We hope our lives won't be affected by the disease.
We hope those we love can recover.
The community united, and we put our bodies and emotions on the line.
It was an exhausting 18 hours.
But no one complained.
Our muscles were sore, the bodies were weary but we were all there for one reason.
As we walked we read the messages to loved ones that lined the track.
We read about those we have lost and those who are fighting.
As the sun rose, the trumpet sounded, signalling a new day.
We were one day closer to a cancer-free world.
Next year we will come back and do it all again because we are united by hope.
It is hope that keeps us raising money.
It is hope that drives us through the hours and laps.
It is hope that keeps us fighting.
We will beat cancer.
