In 1961 the students started the farm course at Horsham Technical School to begin their studies of farm-related subjects.
The course prepared the students to return to the family farm or pursue careers in agriculture and related sectors.
The course comprised up to three years of study between 1961 and 1963.
Some students during this time left the course at various stages to return to the family farm or start employment.
Former students and three teachers from the class gathered in Horsham to celebrate their golden anniversary since studying together.
Seventeen out of 20 students returned for the weekend reunion.
The returning teachers were Ed Goodieson, Adrian Johnson and John Van Heumen.
The classmates had a reunion dinner at the Olde Horsham Restaurant.
Former student Neville McIntyre said he could not believe it had been 50 years since he finished school.
