The average construction time for NBN projects is 12 months.
NBN Co spokesman Corrie Withers said the fixed wireless service aimed to bring better broadband to the area.
“Fast broadband can help deliver improved access to health, education and entertainment over high-quality video links,” he said.
“Once construction is complete, people and businesses will be able to call internet service providers to access the NBN.”
Mr Withers said NBN fixed wireless service could offer wholesale download speeds of up to 25 megabits a second and wholesale upload speeds of up to five megabits a second.
