Midfielder Webster, who played 16 games last year for the Rebels, is from Laharum, while Mason, a key position player from Kalkee, played 13 games for the Rebels last year.
Both Mason and Webster are top-age players.
Rebels regional manager Phil Partington said he believed both players would lead the club well this season.
“We’re very pleased to have two Wimmera boys as captains this year,” he said.
“We go through the Leading Teams based model – the boys and staff vote on the leadership group.
“At the end of the day we had two players who stood out and it was a great reward for their efforts last year and so far this year.”
Four other Wimmera players were named in the Rebels 10-player leadership group.
They are Keegan Mellington and Darcy Tucker, both from Horsham Saints, and key position players Oscar McDonald from Edenhope-Apsley and Xavier Vearing from Ararat.
All four players played four or more games for the Rebels last season.
Partington said Mellington’s leadership qualities stood out while he recovered from injury.
“Keegan has unfortunately been injured for most of the pre-season but he’s shown a lot of leadership and it’s great to see him be rewarded,” he said.
The Rebels will take on Geelong Falcons in their season opener at Warrnambool’s Reid Oval on Sunday at 2pm.
