Ground: Harrow Recreation Reserve – changed from Balmoral, Saturday, 2.20pm.
Umpires: B. Campbell and P. Clough.
Last time they met: Round 12, 2013. Harrow-Balmoral 15.6 (96) d Noradjuha-Quantong 13.8 (86).
NORADJUHA-QUANTONG will hit the road Harrow-bound to take on early-season ladder leader Harrow-Balmoral on Saturday.
After narrowly missing out on playing finals last season, the Bombers have not been shy about their finals ambitions this year.
But after a heavy defeat at the hands of Edenhope-Apsley at the weekend, the team will be left in a 0-2 hole if it slips up against the Roos.
Harrow-Balmoral will enter the match undermanned, with the four Staude relatives all attending a wedding and Damian Van Someren unavailable.
Rob MacKinnon, Hamish Ellis and Luke Merryfull all come in after missing at the weekend, regular senior player Nathan Neumann will get a chance after a limited pre-season, and David Vickery might be selected.
Roos coach Brent Forsyth said the depth of the club would be tested, but the team was still in a position to play well and win.
“It takes a fair sting out of us, but 12 months ago we would have been reeling,” he said.
“We’re looking for that quick ball movement and getting our back six settled.
“If we can get an even contribution like we did last week, we’ll be looking okay.”
Harrow-Balmoral defeated Noradjuha-Quantong in two tight matches last season.
Forsyth said he expected the same on Saturday.
“In both cases we had three or four goals on them going into the last quarter and they really came back at us hard,” he said.
Noradjuha-Quantong coach Jarred Combe was unavailable for comment.
