Horsham Easter Egg hunt for Good Friday Appeal

Good Friday Appeal Easter Egg Hunt organisers are preparing for a charity day at Horsham City Oval next week.

About 600 children joined in the quest for chocolate eggs at the city oval last year.

Horsham Bendigo Bank customer service supervisor Abby Taggert said she hoped this year's event would be even bigger and better.

"We have raised more than $20,000 for the Good Friday Appeal since the event started in 2007," she said.

"It started with a staff member whose children had been to the Royal Children's Hospital."

Bank members wanted to help, and so the fundraiser was born.

About 6500 Easter eggs have been sourced for the occasion.

Horsham City Oval's gates will open at 10am on Good Friday for registration.

The hunt will start at 11am.
