A MAN who allegedly led police on a two-and-a-half pursuit from South Australia into Victoria has been charged with 16 offences.

The Ballarat man will front Horsham Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Horsham Highway Patrol Sergeant John McTaggart said the Wendouree man, 20, faced charges including two counts of conduct endangering life.
The man was arrested near Wail about 5.30pm on Thursday after Horsham Highway Patrol members laid down stop sticks.
South Australia Police Senior Constable Tim Dodds said the chase started about 2.30pm CST in Coonalpyn.
He said the accused allegedly drove off from a petrol station without paying.
SAPOL followed a Holden Commodore with allegedly stolen licence plates along Dukes Highway, through Bordertown, until it crossed the Victorian border.
The car passed through Kaniva, Nhill and Dimboola before its tyres were punctured by the stop sticks.
Horsham Inspector Trevor Ashton said Wimmera police pursued the driver for a short time, but his erratic driving made it unsafe for police to continue.
