Ground: Quantong Recreation Reserve, Saturday, 2.20pm.
Umpires: A. Wright, G. Lane and S. McKinnon.
Last time they met: Round 10, 2013. Swifts 17.17 (119) d Noradjuha-Quantong 14.3 (87).
SWIFTS will hit the road for the first time this season and are looking to extend their unbeaten start with a win against Noradjuha-Quantong.
The Baggies have played within the familiar confines of North Park, Stawell for each of the first three rounds, but will be tested away from home by the Bombers.
A win would keep the team in touch with early pace-setters Harrow-Balmoral and Laharum, and put it firmly on track for a top-three finish.
The Bombers also have plenty to play for, with their victory against Pimpinio in round three pushing them into the top five.
A loss on Saturday could see Noradjuha-Quantong slipping back towards the bottom of the ladder, so a win will be vital for the team.
It will be a daunting task, with Swifts regaining big man Matt Healy and key recruit Luke Mitchell.
Baggies co-coach Paul Hanns said his team often struggled in early-season games against the Bombers, but insisted this time would be different.
“We’ve played them in round one the past couple of years and they’ve come out and given us a touch up both times,” he said.
“We’ve probably been underdone and not up to scratch for match fitness the past two years in round one.
“This year I think we’re fitter and ahead of where we’ve been, but it’s certainly a game we won’t be taking lightly.”
Hanns said the key to the game for his side was its defensive pressure and quick movement after a turnover.
Bombers coach Jarred Combe was not available for comment.
