WARRACK Eagles tasted success for the first time this season with a 25-point win over Nhill at Davis Park.
The Eagles – who kicked with the wind in the final quarter – overturned a three-point deficit at the final change in a high-scoring contest against a competitive Tigers outfit.
Eagles playing coach Tim Inkster slotted four goals, while Jack Wilson, Jesse Murphy and Dalton Jaensch all chipped in with three.
Ben Harrison and Jake Peters were named among the Eagles’ best.
Tigers Tim Seymour and Sam Turmine impressed up forward, sharing seven goals, while Andrew Watson and Liam Albrecht also played major roles.
Tigers coach Shane Grover said it was a much-improved performance from his charges.
“I’m as happy as you can be with a loss,” he said.
“We improved a lot and showed a lot more than we did against Ararat – everyone was willing to work for each other.
“We’re heading in the right direction.”
